Testimony from an EWC worship event last month…

4 10 2006

“Back in August, Ben and Robin came to South Carolina with a small crew of worshipers (Bergers, Okeefes, Pelhan) and led us in some break-through worship at our church. We have really been longing to see creative, prophetic, worship arts through song, music, visual art, dance etc…. expressed in a large scale setting. There was a great turnout for the concert not only from St. Andrews but from the surrounding area. We have heard stories of person after person that felt a new freedom come that night and stories of ways people have been inspired to worship in new ways.

We recently got back from a worship team retreat during which boards were set up for people to paint on throughout the weekend. A few people who had never painted before picked up a brush and created some incredible paintings and some people who had painted before but had not for some time got the gift re-stirred. Plans are in the works for some painting workshops for all those interested in worshiping through painting or really any visual medium.

Also on the retreat Sara led a time of worship that focused on movement which was really powerful and freeing. Since the worship circle night & again after the worship team retreat many people have asked her to pray for them and to do some more stuff on dance at the church, so we are also working on getting some workshops on movement together.

Overall, I want to give thanks on behalf of all of us that have been blessed by everyone that came. I know that people have been stirred to more passionately worship the only One who is Worthy and a great fire is in the making.

Much Love — Alex”
