Connnecticut

[Photo]Laurel and I arrived with our team into Laguardia and caravanned to Connecticut.

Let me take a moment to say that a normal challenge that we face every time that we minister is to drop into any given situation that presents a unique set of hurdles/variables that we must overcome in order to effectively minister. Between issues concerning travel, sound, band dynamics, and our interaction with other musicians, it can be very easy to lose focus of what we’ve come to bring to minister with. I find myself encouraging and reminding both our team and the sound personnel of why and who we are ultimately sacrificing our time and treasure for.

Having said this, our team was very resilient to acclimate themselves to the environment and bypass the hurdles of the night to draw the people to worship the Lord, pray for some of the social issues of our time, and declare to them the heart of Christ through song and testimony. One of the event organizers mentioned to me afterward that even after 2.5 hours it looked as if the people didn’t want to leave. We joined our bands together to end the night with some songs of unity. It’s a beautiful thing to talk with people afterward and hear their responses.

In closing, please remember that when God is at work in our lives, He is constantly orchestrating hookups, special meetings and moments for us to reflect and be witnesses of Jesus to others. Dive in! Jump at every chance… we have NOTHING to lose and those who don’t have Christ have EVERYTHING to gain!

They enjoy creating “multi-arts” events where a fusion of visual art, dance, acoustic, and electronica come together for an intense time of meeting God. Though Todd and Laurel a passion for ministering to student groups and partnering with student ministries, they also have a heart for creating worship environments for a cross-generational gatherings.

Albany Update

We had a great trip to Albany last week. There were some powerful moments in the concert, the team was ON, the sound was ON. I shared about the differences between toleration and the kingdom way of adoption. Christ came to adopt us into His family through His sacrifice on the cross. Aside from those who went up for prayer, I found out afterward that a few people ran out during the concert asking how they could give their lives to Jesus. Laurel and I couldn’t ask for better opportunities than this. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. Lives are being impacted and souls are being called into the family of God.

We leave Friday morning for Connecticut with another team. And I CAN’T WAIT. Please pray for our safe and speedy travel as we got nailed here in Cleveland with a one and a half feet of snow. I’l update you when we get back. Click here for more info.
