About Todd & Laurel Berger

For over 15 years, Todd & Laurel have been developing music and art for revealing Christ to students. In 1997, Todd and his wife Laurel made a decision to focus on leading worship events that sponsor intimacy with the Lord and facilitate prophetic ministry through the arts. They enjoy creating multi-art events where a fusion of visual art, movement, acoustic instrumentation, with elements of electronica & turntablism come together for an intense time of worship.

Todd and Laurel have a passion for ministering to students and love to partner with campus ministries. Todd enjoys his role as Worship Leader for Journey Fellowship Church and as missionaries with Wake Arts Collective, Todd and Laurel are pioneering a creative community with several missional partners in their hometown of Cleveland, OH.

About Todd Berger’s Music:

Todd discovered his deep connection with music as a first language and so began writing and performing original compositions at an early age. After studying theory and classical music he went on to study jazz theory and improvisation at Baldwin Wallace College. He continued exploring the creative synergies between the creative processes of music composition and the visual arts, while earning his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art.

For over 15 years, Todd has collaborated and performed throughout the U.S. and traveled to Brazil with resident artists from his hometown of Cleveland, OH. Todd and his wife Laurel, enjoy creating multi-art events and gatherings where a fusion of electronica, dance, turntablism and multimedia are combined. Both locally and nationally he is pioneering a cultural intersection to unite diverse cultures through music to orchestrate harmony through creative collaboration, while fostering synergy between artists and a harmonious fusion of their indigenous art forms.

Todd Berger is a recording artist featured on Worship Circle Record’s electronic Village Thrift series that he pioneered alongside Ben & Robin Pasley (100 Portraits and Enter the Worship Circle), Ryan Lott (Son Lux), and Dee Jay Doc (2% Milk). He is currently collaborating with Ben Pasley and Tony Vilgiate (Chainsaw Weasel) to transition Village Thrift into an online creative community where songwriters, dj’s, and remixers can collaborate to develop and release new worship music to the public.

Dear Todd and Laurel,
You forgot to mention all those weird people that Todd used to play with. There was this one guy back in ‘94 who had this scary monobrow and beard–but hey, maybe he was just so far ahead of the game, long before the CCM community decided a goatee was cool. What did they call themselves, Forge? Burnin’ off the dross… Todd must still have an oil painting somewhere in his parents’ basement of men working in a foundry–the cover art that never happened. And Laurel? She was this pretty little thing in the background that Todd was being really quiet about.
Folks watching the little video of Todd at the keys might be wondering what he’s doing with his foot. That’s an old habit from playing on the upright in mom and dad’s house. Someone forgot to tell him that the pedals are not attached to bass drums!

From one old piece of iron to another, glad to see you’re doing well.
Sincerely,
Jason
